I Bought My Eyeglasses for $25!

Happy Hump Day!!

As many of you know I wear glasses...uh duh!! Well many of you may not know that I wear my glasses 80% of the time, contacts and I just don't mix. In April I bought a new pair of glasses from my eye doctor & so far they have broken twice on me - not cool!! I've always been super careful with glasses since I've been wearing them since I was 7 so I knew it was the glasses and not me. After my glasses broke the second time I decided I needed to find a cheap back up pair. I browsed the Internet for some options and I came across a website called - http://www.coastalcontacts.com/.

I decided to buy a cheaper test pair first just to see if I liked the quality and to see if the website was legit.
The pair I'm wearing in the picture below are from Converse, and the total price I paid for them was $25 (included shipping). The frames were $7, I'll give you a moment to absorb that...yes $7!! The lenses were $20, I came across a few discounts online and that's how I only ended up paying $25.
I love these glasses!! I seriously think they are my favorite pair I have ever owned - they are sturdy & cute. You would never know the price I paid for these if I didn't tell you, the quality is amazing!!

So after I bought my first pair I decided to added another set to my collection. The glasses below are by Halston and the frames were $20 and the lenses were again $20. I wasn't able to get a very good close up of these glasses, but they are tortoise shell and they are beautiful.

Note: The price of lenses of vary based on your Rx. Please be sure to have a valid Rx when ordering from this site.

This is the discount I used when placing my first order - Use code CABINOCT for 15% off of your order, for new customers only. Expires Oct 31, 2010.

I just thought I would share the website love in case any of you are looking for a new pair of glasses.

Thanks for reading!

  1. Nice specs!

I have a very small head so have to trawl though so many shops to find a pair that is not too wide. My prescription is diabolical so the lenses are so expensive it hurts. :(

    Nice buys m'lady!

  2. love both of the frames you chose - the 2nd pair looks really cute on you :)

my disgustingly high prescription would still cost a pretty penny on that sight, but it looks like I'd save a decent amount of money...I'll have to try it out next year when I get another eye exam :)
